5. Or construct a light stand

Attach a tall piece of lumber to a particle-board base with brackets. Attach the lights with heavy-duty tape, or place large hooks or other clip devices at varying heights along the timber. Make sure the stands are sturdy. You may need to stabilize the stand by placing heavy objects, such as books, on top of the base. Remember that halogen lamps get quite hot, so avoid flammable materials, allow adequate ventilation space and don’t leave them on when you’re away from the area.
